This is to officially inform the general public that the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) Admission form for Regular Course 12 is out.

Learn how to apply and the requirements before the deadline.

The Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) is now accepting applications for admission into its 11th Regular Course Degree Programmes.

This opportunity is open to male and female Nigerians of good character who are interested in joining the academy.

The online application portal will remain open for six weeks, from 28th July 2025 to 8th September 2025.

Admission Requirements

To apply for the Nigeria Police Academy, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Must be of Nigerian origin by birth.
  • Must have a valid National Identity Number (NIN) and a JAMB result from 2025 with a minimum score of 180.
  • Must select Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil as their first choice in JAMB.
  • Must possess a minimum of six credits in WAEC, NECO, NABTEB or its equivalent, including English and Mathematics, in not more than two sittings.
  • Must be aged between 17 and 21 by 31st October 2025.
  • Must be medically, physically, and psychologically fit.
  • Male applicants must be at least 1.67m tall and female applicants at least 1.64m tall.
  • Male applicants must have a minimum expanded chest measurement of 86cm (34 inches).
  • Applicants must not be married or pregnant at the time of admission.
  • Must have a valid email address and phone number.
  • SSCE results or certificates from before 2021 will not be accepted.

How to Apply for the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) 12th Regular Course Admission for the 2025/2026 Session

  1. Interested applicants are advised to visit the Nigeria Police Academy Admission Portal to generate a Remita Retrieval Reference (RRR) Code.
  2. A non-refundable fee of N600.00 is required (including N2,000 for the POST UTME examination).
  3. Payments can be made through any commercial bank in Nigeria.
  4. After payment, applicants should complete the online form and upload scanned copies of their SSCE results, Birth Certificate, and Certificate of Origin.
  5. Completed forms, along with a guarantor form, must be printed and submitted at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil.

How is the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) 12th Regular Course Aptitude Test Conducted?

All applicants will undergo a Computer-Based Aptitude Test at the Nigeria Police Academy, Wudil, ICT Centre.

When is is the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) 12th Regular Course Aptitude Test Exams Date?

The exact date will be communicated later.

How is the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) 12th Regular Course Automated Physical Screening Exercise Conducted?

Applicants who meet the CBT requirements will be invited for an automated physical screening at the academy.

Applicants must present original copies of the following documents:

  • Educational qualifications
  • Birth certificates or declaration of age
  • Medical fitness evidence from a government-recognized hospital
  • Evidence of good character from village or district head
  • Indigene certificate signed by Local Government Chairman or Secretary
  • Guarantor form from a public servant not below GL13, a police officer not below CSP, or an equivalent rank in the armed forces or other paramilitary services

Automated Medical Screening and Interview

Successful candidates from the Aptitude Test will be invited for automated medical screening at the academy.

Following this, an automated interview and selection process will take place.

Notification and Training

All successful applicants will receive notifications via email and SMS.

Training at the Nigeria Police Academy will begin on a date to be announced.

Fcaulties and Courses of Study Available at the Nigeria Police Academy (POLAC) 12th Regular Course Admission

The academy offers courses leading to Bachelor’s Degrees in various disciplines, including:

  • Faculty of Humanities:
    BA in English, History & International Studies, Linguistics and Nigerian Languages
  • Faculty of Law:
    N/B: LLB in Law is not available for the 2025/2026 Session.
  • Faculty of Science:
    BSc in Biochemistry, Biological Sciences, Chemistry, Computer Science, Forensic Science, Mathematics, Physics
  • Faculty of Social and Management Sciences:
    BSc in Accounting, Economics, Management Science, Political Science, Psychology, Sociology

Nature and Duration of Courses

The Nigeria Police Academy offers a combined academic and police training programme for a minimum period of five years.

Graduates will receive a Bachelor’s Degree and will be commissioned into the Nigeria Police Force as Assistant Superintendents of Police (ASP II).
